I played it on the PC, and it is definitely awesome. I just finished it yesterday and I'm gonna restart a new game as soon as I get home tonight

I'm 42 hours into it (playing as my "good" Shepherd) and I still have a bit to go. Granted, I did all the side quests I could find... and a lot of scanning for resources.
Right now I need to recover the IFF. How much longer do I have roughly?

You're almost there, after you get the IFF , you have 1 more optional mission, and then it's the suicide mission.
Don't bother mining every planet you find, you won't have anything to buy :-P I finished with about 150k over in all materials except Element Zero.

that makes me sad... only 2 more quests and it's game over.
even though this game is technically longer, the main quest feels a lot shorter than ME1.
